Results from the FY 2001/2002 NHA estimation in Kenya showed that households were financing over half of all health expenditures. The NHA data provided evidence for the MoH to justify and secure a 30% increase in its 2006 budget allocation from the Ministry of Finance, its largest increase since 1963.
