Actual Policy Use
The exposure of inequities and unequal burden of financing on households, revealed in the FY 2001/2002 NHA, informed debate and legislation on Social Health Insurance (SHI). As a result SHI is now included in Kenya’s long-term development plan, Vision 2030. Vision 2030 will further be informed by the current round of NHA, to be completed by the early 2009.
