Building Country Systems that Meet Global Fund Reporting Requirements: Lessons from Mozambique
Since 2004, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria has awarded Mozambique’s Ministry of Health (MOH) approximately $220 million to improve prevention, detection, and treatment services for all three target diseases. However, the funding comes with stringent reporting requirements. This brief outlines how the MOH and USAID’s Health Systems 20/20 project are working to integrate the Global Fund’s specific requirements into enhanced ministry systems for planning, financial execution, supply chain, and monitoring and evaluation.
