Niger

In Niger, Health Systems 20/20 has assessed the capacity of the National Network of Organizations for mutual health organizations (MHOs). This included a look at why the national community-based health insurance (CBHI) strategy developed in 2008 had not been adopted and implemented. Health Systems 20/20 then conducted a workshop for 20 network members to strengthen their skills in advocacy at the national level. Work will continue in 2010 with a workshop to develop the capacity of field staff who can support MHO development and assistance to put the strategic plan into action.
